• Graduated in Environmental Sciences, University of Córdoba, 2000.
• Completed her thesis on the molecular mechanisms of epigenetic control in Arabidopsis thaliana and was awarded her PhD in Environmental Sciences by the University of Córdoba in May 2008.
• From November 2008 to February 2011 she worked in the Higher Research Council’s Signposting Group for Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species in Situations of Stress in Plants at the Zaidín Experimental Station.
• From October 2011 to December 2012 she worked in the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry of Abiotic Stress in Plants at the same institution.
