I obtained my BSc degree in Biochemistry (2015) and my MSc degree in Biotechnology (2016) at the University of Córdoba (UCO). In 2013, I joined the Department of Genetics as a internship student. In 2014, I performed my BSc Thesis Project in this Department, investigating the role of the single nitrate/nitrite transporter in the phytopathogenic fungus Fusarium oxysporum. Based on the results obtained, in 2015 I undertook my MSc Thesis Project studying the role of nitrate reductases in nitrogen metabolism of F. oxysporum. At the end of 2017, I started my PhD with a competitive FPU contract from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIU). My PhD project focused on chromosomal dynamics and its role in genomic plasticity of F. oxysporum. In July 2022 I defended my PhD Thesis. Currently, I am continuing my work on this research topìc as a postdoctoral scientist.
