After earning my Bachelor’s degree in 2019, I completed a short internship at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research. Subsequently, I pursued a Master’s degree in Biology and Cellular Technologies at "La Sapienza" University of Rome. During this time, I completed a second internship at the University of Amsterdam. I received my Master’s degree in 2021 and immediately started a PhD at "La Sapienza" University of Rome, where I focused on studying effectors in Fusarium oxysporum. During my PhD, I spent nearly two years as a visiting student at the University of Cologne, where I expanded my research to Verticillium dahliae. I recently completed my PhD and have started a junior post-doctoral position at the Fusarium Lab, where I aim to investigate the role of starship elements in Fusarium and Verticillium spp.
