María Valero Redondo is a Lecturer at the University of Córdoba (2018- ). She has a degree in English Studies (University of Córdoba, 2008-2013). In 2013, she obtained the "Beca de Iniciación a la Investigación" (University of Córdoba). She studied a Master in English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Granada (2013-2014). In 2014, the Spanish Ministry of Education granted her an FPU scholarship to write her PhD at the University of Córdoba. She has been a Visiting Student at the University of Cambridge and the University of Kent. She holds a European Doctorate in English Studies with her dissertation about Wuthering Heights (2018). She was awarded the “cum laude” distinction. Her field of research is 19th century English literature. Recently, she has published a monograph on Wuthering Heights with Peter Lang. She is currently a member of the project, “Henry James in Literary Contexts”, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
